Kelowna's Kelly Scott has punched her ticket to the final of the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Red Deer.
In the process, she got some semblance of revenge against arch rival Jennifer Jones of Manitoba.
Scott defeated Jones 7-5 in the 1 vs. 2 Page Playoff game Friday night sending her to the final while relegating Jones to a semi-final game Saturday night against the winner of a quarter-final between Alberta and Quebec.
The game was really decided early. Leading 3-2 after scoring a pair of four, Scott sat three around the four foot.
Jones had a chance to remove all three and score three but her takeout jammed, giving Scott a steal of two and a 5-2 lead.
She closed it out in 10 drawing to the button with her final rock for the two point victory.
"It feels really good. It's right where we want to be," Scott stated after the game
"It's been a few years since we've been in this position but it somehow feels like yesterday when we were right there."
Scott says the team, including Sasha Carter, Dailene Sivertson and Jacquie Armstrong came ready to play.
"They had their game faces on, great focus, great concentration."
