A man was sent to hospital Monday night after his car was sent off the road and down an embankment.

Cst. Kris Clark says a silver Escalade-type vehicle may have struck a black Corvette, sending it down the embankment along Westside Road, just north of Pine Point Court.

"The driver of the Corvette, had been stopped on the side of the road waiting for some sheep to cross when the Escalade came around the corner and apparently bumped him off the road."

The driver, a 47-year-old West Kelowna, man was able to escape his car but according to Clark the man also tumbled down the embankment causing injuries to his torso.

"The man was taken to Kelowna General Hospital by ambulance."

West Kelowna RCMP are looking to speak with the driver of the silver Escalade.
