Traffic cops under valued

To the editor:

RE: Wants RCMP off of traffic duty

Less time on traffic duty, are you kidding me?

Have you seen the way people in this town drive?

Speeding, texting/cell phone use, running yellow and red lights are common practice in Kelowna. Texting with the phone on your lap while driving is the norm these days and drivers that do this need to be caught and ticketed.

It is a rare day in which we don't read about a car accident somewhere in the city that has caused a traffic problem. If anything, the RCMP needs the additional resources for greater traffic duty.

Only once irresponsible drivers are hit in the pocket book hard will they start to drive safely.
