The Lake Country RCMP have been busy this week dismantling marijuana grow operations.

As a result of a theft of hydro investigation, officers executed a search warrant on a house on the 13200 block of Lake Hill Drive Thursday, January 26.

Over 300 mature plants were seized along with sophisticated growing equipment valued at thousands of dollars. A man and a woman were both arrested at the house and charges of Theft of Hydro as well as Production of a Controlled Substance will be recommended against them both.

The residence has been condemned by the District of Lake Country and may not be occupied until repairs are completed and occupancy is approved.

The Lake Country RCMP definitely earned their keep this week, executing three search warrants, seizing 1500 plants and thousands of dollars worth of grow equipment. As many as five people could be charged with various offences stemming from these investigations.
