At approximately 10:26 PM Thursday, the Kelowna Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 472 Glenwood Ave. near Cadder and Richter.

Upon arrival fire crews found a fully involved residence.

Crews managed to contain the fire to the structure involved.

The structure was extensively damaged.

One resident was sent to hospital with minor injuries sustained while trying to escape the fire.

As well, two pets were lost in the fire -- a dog and cat.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious, however, the fire is still under investigation.
