More than 500 young wrestlers will descend on Penticton next year, as the Penticton Wrestling Club announces it has won the bid to host the B.C. High School Wrestling Championships in February 2012.

Head coach Tony Ramsey is handling the paperwork and setting up the event.

"The B.C. style sport is freestyle. We won't be seeing any Greco Roman or the American Collegiate style wrestling at our B.C. provincials."

Athletes from grades 9 to 12 will compete in the double elimination tournament at the Adidas Sportsplex February 23-25.
