Easter celebration draws thousands

It was another huge turn out Friday for the eighth annual Easter Pancake Breakfast hosted by Victory Life Fellowship.

Around 2500 people attended the Good Friday event at the Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Guests enjoyed thousands of pancakes and the children’s activities included a live fish pond, bouncy houses, face painting, balloons, crafts and much more.

Kids swarmed the Egg Hunt areas to find their treasures among the 10,000 Easter eggs filled with candy.

In addition hundreds of items of free clothing was given away.

For Pastors Dieter and Diana Tripke, the response from the community was overwhelming and the wanted to thank everyone who volunteered and those who made donations.

The Tripke's feel building the community and meeting needs is important.

The say hosting events such as this and the upcoming Back to School Bash on August 27th is just another way for the church to be involved in tangibly displaying the Love of Christ.
