SilverStar gelato shop transforming to Cafe Olympica for watch party
Olympic spirit at Silver Star
The Olympic spirit will be on full display at a local gelato shop in Silver Star Village.
Francuccino's Gelato and the new Gallery Artiva will be transformed to Cafe Olympica, and will be decked out in Olympic memorabilia, Team Canada uniforms, and contest athlete bibs from the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Olympic Games.
Gear is donated by local two-time Olympic snowboarder Crispin Lipscomb. Lipscomb will be at the cafe all week to tell stories and watch the 2026 games on TV.
Funds are also being raised for the Silver Star Freestyle Club, as they look to build a new air bag site.
There will also be an opportunity to take a picture with the 2010 Olympic torch.
Olympic torch photos are available daily 3:10-4 p.m., and the cafe is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m during the Olympic Games.
Gallery Artiva opened in November, 2025 and is owned by Lipscomb and painter Raffaella Vaz. The gallery showcases Okanagan and Canadian artists, carvers, writers and craftworkers.
