The search for missing Merritt resident Brandy Cowell and her boyfriend Robert Bishop ended in Oceanside, B.C. Thursday.

"Cowell is reported to be in good physical health," says Merritt RCMP Constable Tracy Dunsmore.

Bishop has been charged with eight counts of assault on Cowell.

The investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be forthcoming, says Dunsmore.

The Merritt RCMP, "wish to thank the efforts of the public and the media in their assistance in locating Cowell and Bishop."

Cowell was reported missing on September 6, when she did not take her son to his first day of school as planned.
