Update: 3:00 p.m. - Kelowna Fire Department Assistant Chief Lou Wilde says the cause of the fire is still undetermined.
Wilde says investigators have ruled out electrical problems as a potential cause.
Update: 10:05 a.m. - Monday night's fire destroyed most of Take 2 Video's stock, causing about $100,000 damage.
Kelowna Fire Department Assistant Chief Lou Wilde says the building itself suffered little structural damage.
Fire investigators will be on scene Tuesday morning to look into a cause of the fire.
Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze in a downtown strip mall store before it spread to other units.
Thick black smoke greeted firefighters when they arrived at 1100 Lawrence Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Monday night.
Kelowna Fire Department Assistant Chief Lou Wilde says the smoke was coming from the Take 2 Video store.
Firefighters gained access to the video store and contained the fire in the store before it could spread to the rest of the building.
Wilde says the other tenants of the building appear to have only suffered smoke damage.
