The City of Penticton has a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Mayor and Council have approved the appointment of Annette Antoniak as the city's new CAO. She replaces Dennis Back who has been working in that capacity on a contract basis since mid 2009.
A brief news release from the City of Penticton states Antoniak has 'extensive experience working with all levels of government and the private sector.'
She is currently the Electoral Area D Economic Development Officer with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen.
Previously, Antoniak has held the positions of President and CEO of the BC Olympic and Paralympic Games, Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Resolutions for the province and President and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition.
The city received more than 175 applications for the position.
Antoniak assumes her new role September 20.
