The RCMP’s West Kelowna Detachment and Southeast District Major Crime Unit have continued their investigation into the disappearance of Brittney Lee Irving on April 6, 2010.

The remains of a female have been located and have been positively identified as Brittney Irving. An autopsy has been conducted and police are now treating Brittney’s disappearance as a homicide. The cause of death is being withheld. No charges have been laid with respect to Brittney’s death and no other details of the investigation will be released at this time.

Brittney’s next of kin have been notified and they request that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
