The City of Trail has brought on a new general manager of municipal services.
Jared Minter will be succeeding the role from Tracey Butler, who previously held the role since January 2024.
The city explained that he brings over 15 years of experience and leadership to the role, engineering and project management experience, making him exceptionally well-equipped to lead the city's people and projects.
Minter previously managed cross-functional teams that executed projects and initiatives for water sustainability and environmental remediation. Some of the duties he will now be tasked with include improving utility infrastructure, creating climate change plans, sustainable development, community resilience and cultivating an inclusive and respectful work environment.
“As we continue to build our strong and diverse team at the City of Trail, I’m pleased to welcome Jared Miner to this important leadership role,” said Mayor Colleen Jones.
Minter expressed that he is ready to take such an important city role.
"I look forward to leading the city’s municipal services efforts, while promoting both efficiency and high-quality delivery."
