Plying prescription ploy

Trail RCMP have advised the public not to buy prescription medication online.
A Trail resident lost $660 after sending money through a social media account on April 13, to purchase prescription medication from an online "influencer-doctor."
After sending $660 electronically to the doctor, the person did not receive the desired prescription medication.
The Trail RCMP explained that doctors do not typically prescribe medication over social media.
“You may not want to consume prescription medications obtained over social media, despite a doctor shortage. Please visit your doctor or an open clinic to get treatment," said Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.
The money was not recoverable.
