Telus spent part of the morning cleaning up some cables following a vehicle accident.
Around 4 a.m. Thursday, a sedan left the road on Highway 97 between Sexsmith and Penno Roads.
Constable Steve Holmes says the sedan hit a tree.
“After that, it went into the ditch and then through a fence and hit some spools of cable belonging to Telus,” says Holmes.
He says the driver, a 19-year-old man from Surrey, and his passenger, were taken to Kelowna General Hospital with minor injuries.
The vehicle was destroyed.
