People in Penticton's downtown core won't have to go far to mail letters and packages anymore.
Councillor Dan Albas announced the Blue Nose Coin and Currency, in the 200 block of Main Street, now includes a post office.
“They are actually going to move the Blue Nose operations to the back and then they are going to move the Canada Post to the front, making it very convenient for people to get in, get their stamps, to mail their packages, to pickup their packages. Again, that's so they don't have to go outside the downtown for that,” says Albas.
The post-office officially opens Monday.
Councillor Albas had more than 3,000 names on a petition when the old downtown post office was closing its doors last year.
