There are at least three places in the Valley where you and your family can watch the Men's Gold Medal hockey match up today on a big screen with an even bigger crowd.
The first is at Rutland Centennial Hall, where MLA Norm Letnick has rented the hall and says there are about 100 seats left. Admission is free, although there will be a 50/50 draw and other fundraisers to raise money for the 2011 International Children's Winter Games.
Game time is at 12:15 p.m. at Rutland Centennial Hall and is expected to end at about 3:30 p.m., but everyone is invited to stay, or come back and watch the 2010 Olympics Closing Ceremonies at 5:30 p.m.
Seating for the gold medal game is limited, so please preregister to watch at the hall by calling 250-765-8516.
Meanwhile, the District of West Kelowna is inviting the public to a showing on the big screen at Royal LePage Place.
Admission is free.
The Men's Gold Medal hockey game will be Sunday, February 28. The game starts at 12:15 p.m. Royal LePage Place is part of the Mount Boucherie Complex at 2760 Cameron Road.
For more information call the Recreation & Culture office at 778-797-8800.
And if you're taking in the Kelowna Home Show this weekend, don't worry - the game will be on at Propera Place's jumbotron, as well as at many exhibitor's booths. People are allowed to even sit in Prospera's seats to watch the game.
Canada faces the USA in the final match for the gold. Canada currently has a record-breaking 13 gold medals at the Olympics, and are hoping to add to that score.
