Victim taken to hospital with serious injuries after early-morning shooting in North Kamloops: RCMP

UPDATE: 12:11 p.m.
Mounties have maintained a presence outside a house in the 900-block of 13th Street in North Kamloops, where police could be seen canvassing the neighbourhood Friday for video footage and eyewitnesses.
Neighbours who spoke to Castanet Kamloops said they did not hear or see anything suspicious overnight. Some said they have seen suspicious activity in the neighbourhood over the years, as well as a police presence at the same house in the past.
The attention of police was focused on a home at 990 13th St.
Police are hoping to speak to anyone with video footage or who may have witnessed the shooting incident between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.
“We are asking anyone who may have been witness to this incident or has video surveillance to call the Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2025-2175,” RCMP Cpl. Dana Napier said in a news release.

A person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a shooting early Friday morning on a residential street in Brocklehurst.
According to police, emergency crews were called just after 2 a.m. to an address in the 900-block of 13th Street for a report of a shooting.
“The victim was located and transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, the extent of which are unknown at this time,” RCMP Cpl. Dana Napier said in a news release.
Napier said investigators believe several people were involved in the shooting and it appears to have been targeted.
