Few details are known, but an accident scene is being investigated by Kelowna RCMP.

Just before 3 p.m. Monday, a Ford Explorer was rounding a curve about five kilometers west of the Big White turnoff.

Constable Steve Holmes says the westbound grey Ford Explorer was rounding a curve and lost control on dry pavement.

“The vehicle rolled and the driver, who did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle,” says Holmes.

He says the driver, believed to be around 20 years old, suffered non life threatening injures to his legs and ribs.

“The passenger, wearing a seatbelt, had no significant injuries.”

Holmes says alcohol and drugs have been ruled out.

Both the driver and the passenger are from Kelowna.
