No one was hurt after a condo unit in West Kelowna caught fire Friday afternoon.
The West Kelowna Fire Department says they responded to a call at about 2:50 p.m. Friday and found smoke billowing from the first story of a two story condo building on Shannon View Drive.
As they arrived, another tenant had just finished putting out the fire, but not before the smoke caused extensive damage to the unit.
The fire started and was contained to the unit's bathroom, where it's believed smoking materials ignited a waste basket.
No one was injured. The homeowners do have insurance and are staying with other family members.
