At 11 p.m. Wednesday, the Kelowna Fire Department responded to a Structure Fire at 3031 Abbott Street.

On arrival the single storey residential structure had heavy flames showing at the rear of the structure.

Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the blaze and rescue the occupants pet from the building.

There were three occupants at home at the time of the fire, all escaped uninjured.

The cause of the fire has been determined electrical.

Damage to the home is estimated at $150,000.
