There's still time Sunday to help 'Stuff A Bus' to help the Kelowna Food Bank.
Astral Media is running their fifth annual "Stuff A Bus" campaign in an effort to help the less fortunate this holiday season. The campaign started Friday.
Andy and Tj of Silk FM says the event is going well.
"We started yesterday and continue through tomorrow and the generosity of people is overwhelming," says Tj on Saturday, who specified one example of a man who went into WalMart and came out with three cartloads of diapers and other baby basics.
The duo say people are asked to donate non-perishable food items, toys, cash and turkeys.
"Obviously they want non-perishables but they're also asking for turkeys, so if someone wants to donate turkeys they would be grateful," says Tj.
Last year they collected more than seven tons of food, $4,800 in toys and $4,338 in cash, which translated into $13,000 to purchase food.
Stuff A Bus runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the WalMart in West Kelowna and the Superstore in Kelowna.
