Interior Health reports there is no line up at the flu clinic happening at Dr. Knox Middle School today and are encouraging people to come get their H1N1 shot.

Interior Health spokesperson Dr. Paul Hasselback says people are getting in and out very quickly.

"Right now, you come in, you do some paperwork, you get your vaccine, you sit in the observation area for 15 minutes (to make sure there's no reaction) and you're gone," he says.

The clinic is also applying the expanded eligibility today, meaning children ages 6 months to 18 years, people over the age of 18 with chronic illnesses, and police and firefighters are now eligible. Originally, the eligibility expansion wasn't supposed to happen until Monday.

"There was a decision made at the Provincial level that the expanded eligibility could be applied on Saturday," says Hasselback.

Dr. Knox Middle School is located at 121 Drysdale Blvd. The clinic will run until 5 p.m. today. For more information visit Interior Health's website.
