Enterprise Way will be closed Thursday morning from Cooper Road to Dilworth Drive to accommodate the Ramada Hotel United Way Drive-Thru Breakfast.
The stretch of Enterprise will close at 5 a.m. before re-opening again for traffic at 9:30 a.m.
This is the 12th annual United Way drive-thru breakfast hosted by Maxine DeHart. It will also be the last.
Earlier this month DeHart announced the drive-thru breakfast, which has raised more than $600,000 over the last 11 years, has become a casualty of its own success and progress.
DeHart said she was unable to secure the closure of the new HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane in front of the Ramada Hotel for the yearly event.
The HOV lane was instituted 10 days ago.
"We seem to have become victims of our own success, with too many vehicles to manage the traffic flow without imposing lane closures," says DeHart.
"In light of the Department of Highway decision to not close any traffic lanes, myself and the sponsors have agreed that this would be our final year."
