Update:(1:32 p.m.) The man killed in the accident has been identified as 22-year-old Nathan Robert Geddes, a Vernon resident.


On Monday September 21st, at approximately 2:30 PM the Vernon RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle incident at 32nd Avenue and 35th Street.

Upon attendance it was determined that a collision had taken place between a motorcycle and a truck.

The 22 year old male driver of the motorcycle, a resident of Vernon, was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

The Vernon RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident in conjunction with the BC Coroners Service.
