The sweet success of an eight game winning streak is a fading memory for the Kelowna Falcons.
The Falcons were swept at the hands of the Bellingham Bells, falling 6-4 Thursday in the Washington city.
After winning eight straight, the Falcons have now dropped seven of their last nine.
Things won't get any easier as the Falcons head into Wenatchee for a three game series against the East Division leading Apple Sox.
Bryn Card went six innings, allowing five runs, three of them earned, while striking out five. His record slips to 2-1.
Ryan Jenkins pounded out three of the Falcons eight hits on the night, including his fourth double of the season. Jenkins scored once and drove in a run.
Louie Templeton had a pair of hits including a double while driving in one.
The Falcons, 10-8 on the season, sit three games in back of the Apple Sox.
Kelowna returns home after the weekend series in Wenatchee for a 15 game home stand beginning Tuesday when the Corvallis Knights make their only appearance at Elk Stadium.
