The school report cards are in.

The listings of schools across B.C. based on the controversial FSA tests were announced Saturday by the Fraser Institute.

Schools across the Okanagan received their marks in terms of the school’s average on the Foundation Skills Assessments test, their overall academic rating, and how they rank compared to all other schools in B.C.

The report card calibrated results of tests from 298 secondary schools and 952 elementary schools.

Indicators are calibrated by the marks achieved by students on provincial exams during the 2007-2008 school year.

For secondary schools, the report cards give information such as the average grade received by students on the exams (EXAM), the percentage of those students who failed the exam (FAIL), the school's current rate on a scale of 1 to 10 (RATE), the school's current rank out of 298 (RANK) and what their rate was on average over the last five years (LAST 5).

For elementary schools, the report card gives the percentage of students who performed below expectations on the exams (BELOW). It also gives the school's current rate out of 10 (RATE), the school's current ranking out of 952 (RANK) and what the schools average rank was over the last five years (LAST 5).

For both secondary and elementary school, the report card lists how many students were enrolled at the school in either Grade 12 or Grade 4 (STUDENTS).
