Christmas came in an unusual form for the operator of a Kelowna grow-up: get busted, have your plants and equipment seized, but walk away free until your court date.

The incident occurred around noon Christmas Day on a controlled drugs and substances act search warrant on a mobile home in the 1925 block of Baron road. Police found 105 marijuana plants along with associated grow equipment.

A 27 year-old-male was arrested on the scene and police say he was taken into custody without incident. The court then released him for a March appearance date.

Police are recommending charges of production and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, to Crown Counsel.
