Music videos normally suck. I usually don’t watch them unless there’s a lot of positive buzz about one. And buzz there is about P!nk’s latest video, for new single Sober.

It’s rare that I call a music video “must see,” but this one certainly fits the bill. It tells a story, the cinematography and production values are top-notch and it pushes the envelope in ways I’ve never quite seen on film before. You’ll know what I mean when you watch it.

Fergie ain’t workin’ on her fitness

Contrary to rumors that Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is pregnant, the official word is that the former hardbody had to gain weight for an upcoming movie role.

Makes sense to me. Why is it that the celebrity media is obsessed with whether these stars are preggers or not? I give Perez Hilton major props for all the hard work he does with his blog, but he spends far too much time scrutinizing all the potential baby bumps.

A-Rod apparently spending Turkey Day with family, not Madonna

Yesterday, I reported that A-Rod was ditching his kids to spend this holiday weekend with Madonna. According to People, Rodriguez is doing the right thing by spending Thanksgiving with his kids. But is this just a damage control publicity stunt? Why did A-Rod and Madonna fly together to Miami last night? TMZ has the photos. Makes you wonder what’s really going on.

Who’s copying who? Lady GaGa’s look not so original

Lady GaGa, who came to Kelowna on Thursday night and played for just over 15 minutes and left local fans really ticked off, has been lauded for her fresh look. Even Christina Aguilera has been accused of copying GaGa’s looks. But look at this comparison by TMZ: she looks way too similar to fashion designer Donatella Versace. Sure, Donatella looks old enough to be her grandma, but the resemblance is more than coincidental.

Really? Well, anything’s possible, considering Mariah’s unmarketable film Tennessee will get an actual theatrical run in LA and New York. And she does sing in the film, so her song could get nominated for Best Song. Scary thing is, the song thing is a distinct possibility. I haven’t heard the song, but from hearing Mariah talk about it, I know it will be beyond horrific. As for the acting… yeah, right. Paris Hilton will get an acting nomination before Mariah will and even that will be when the weather forecast for hell consists of a wind chill factor.

Olivia Munn. Bond Girl?

Sure, why not. Olivia Munn could be anything she wants to be and the guys will be happy either way. This woman is money. I’m surprised she hasn’t quite hit the mainstream yet. Star of G4TV’s Attack of The Show (on Shaw channel 127), Munn is a rare find in television: a beautiful woman who doesn’t take herself seriously and knows how to balance humor, wit, and hotness. She is definitely one to watch for.

Beyonce? Sasha Fierce? Either way, annoying!

Is it just me, or is Beyonce one of the most annoying people on the planet? I know I’m not alone. Many agree that Beyonce seems to lack a personality. To make matters worse for herself, she’s embraced a distinct alternate personality, an alter ego as it were, going by the name of Sasha Fierce. Puh-leez! I’ll be the first to admit that she’s beautiful and that she has a nice voice. But could she be any more innocuous, with or without the alter ego? And what’s with the fashion?
