Two fast food employees have been shot with a paint ball gun in the North Okanagan.
The two employees were working the late shift at the A&W on 25th Avenue on Highway 6 near Vernon Sunday when they were attacked.
Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk, says a vehicle pulled up to the drive through at 11:50 p.m.
“As the vehicle pulled up to the pick-up window, the driver made racial comments about workers in the restaurant. As the employee leaned forward to deal with the driver of the vehicle, she and a fellow employee were hit with five rounds from a paint ball gun,” says Molendyk.
He says the driver is described as a white male from 20 to 25 years old.
“He is fairly tall and thin, described as scruffy looking with a few days growth of beard, his hair is brown in a spiked style. The suspect was wearing a tan ski jacket and light shirt.”
Molendyk says the employees were not able to provide a description of the passenger.
“The vehicle has been described as an older vehicle, sky blue in color, possibly a hatchback style. Police are reviewing the store video to determine if they can locate the plate number or a better description of the suspects and the vehicle.”
The two employees received bruises from being hit by the paint balls.
