A body found in the North Okanagan Friday has been confirmed as a homicide.
The Southeast District Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of Tyler William Myers, 22.
Constable Steve Holmes says Myers was found by a passerby around 7:30 p.m. Friday night in the yard of the Bastian Elementary School in Salmon Arm.
“Police believe there is no connection between the incident and the Bastien Elementary school. Myers was last seen alive near the Salmon Arm Secondary School at 5:30 p.m. on November 21,” says Holmes.
He says Myers was a Salmon Arm resident and was known to police.
“Police have not determined the cause of death and an autopsy is scheduled for November 24.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP.
