Music and fashion made an appearance Thursday night when BroSista Clothing Store presented a evening of entertainment at their hired location for the evening, Flashbacks.
The first part of the night was billed as "a Fashion Extravaganza of the latest LA & New York styles and designs". Though many thought differently.
"I wasn't too happy with the fashion show. The models looked like they were amateurs. They also didn't have anyone explaining the clothes they were wearing. How was I to know if they were wearing any big named New York designers or Jane Doe from Winfield?" says Amanda Stock who was in the audience.
"I was also told that there was going to be door prizes when I bought my ticket. That never happened," added Stock.
The highlight of the evening was to be a performance by International recording artist, singer songwriter Lady GaGa.
In 2006 Lady GaGa was signed by Interscope Records, part of the Universal Music Group, and began writing songs for many artists including The Pussycat Dolls.
Her hot new debut album "The Fame" has the hit song "Just Dance" which has reached number one in Canada and has been in steady rotation on pop radio stations in Canada and the United States. Her follow up single "Poker Face" is climbing the charts and has already seen in the number six spot on Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
"Just Dance" and "Poker Face" were two of only fours songs performed by Lady GaGa when she finally hit the stage at midnight which left countless people, leaving after her performance, unsatisfied.
Heather McColl and Christina Sedore were two of many fans who were openly talking about their dissatisfaction when leaving the building.
"I can't believe I had to wait three hours and pay $25.00 for that. I would have rather paid $80.00 and seen a full concert," says McColl.
"Her songs were good and she is an amazing performer but it would have been nicer to get a bit more. We had friends waiting in line without advance tickets and they were told they would have to pay $50.00 to get in. They left and didn't pay. I am glad they didn't pay," says Sedore.
