CRIME: ASSAULT
DATE: 2008-10-17
RCMP FILE: 2008-57668

On Friday October 17th 2008 at approximately 11:30 AM, a Westbank youth exited the city bus in the area of 2035 Boucherie Rd (Paradise Mobile Home Park). As the youth was walking down the road, he heard and saw what he thought was a vehicle that was slowing down. The vehicle was described as a late 1990's tan coloured 2 door Chevy Lumina-type vehicle. There was a young male driver approximately 17-18 years of age. The male had his left hand/arm out of the vehicle and was pointing a black coloured hand gun at the youth. The male driver fired three shots, all of which had a moderately loud bang.  The youth saw three silver objects fly past him (slow speed - not a real fire-arm). The vehicle then spun its tires and left the area.

If you know anything about this crime, or any other crime, call the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit our website at www.crimestoppers.net. Your information will be kept confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $2000.00.
