North Okanagan election results

Election results are now known for several North Okanagan communities.

In Enderby, Dee Wejr was elected with 400 votes. Challenger Jeff Copemen received 76 votes. Incumbent mayor Sue Phillips did not seek re-election.

All of Enderby’s incumbent councillors were re-elected, but they will be joined by one new face.

Greg McCure will join Brad Case, Howie Cyr, Beryl Ludwig, Earl Shipmaker and Tony Vetter on council.

Voter turnout in Enderby was 21.4%.

In the District of Coldstream, Jim Garlick has been elected mayor over Glen Taylor.

Garlick won with 1,899 votes to Taylor’s 874.

Council will be made of Mario Besso (1,347), Grieg Cochrane (1,204), Doug Dirk (1,379), Richard Enns (1,437), Bill Firman (1,255) and Jyula Kiss (1,215).

Voter turnout in Coldstream was 51%.

In Lumby, there are several new faces on council.

Incumbent mayor Eric Foster was re-elected by acclamation.

On council, incumbent Ben Winters was the only previous councillor to be re-elected. He received 257 votes.

He will be joined by new councillors Kevin Acton (373), Lori Mindnich (211) and Tracy Williamson (248).

Voter turnout for Lumby is not known.
