Not in real life. Sorry. But on film, Kidman is set to play the world's first post-op transsexual, Einar Wegener, who was married to fellow artist Greta (Theron). The film is called Danish Girl, an indie that should probably make a small amount of money just on the star power alone. Interesting to note that both Kidman and Theron earned their Best Actress Oscars for playing lesbian characters – Kidman in The Hours and Theron in Monster.

"Australia" film still unfinished 9 days before premiere

Speaking of Kidman, her latest film to hit movie theatres this month, Australia, is apparently still not completed after some unsuccessful test screenings. Director Baz Luhrmann, who directed Kidman in the masterpiece Moulin Rouge, is about to cave in to public reaction regarding the film’s ending. The Daily Telegraph reported yesterday that disastrous reviews from test screenings rejected Australia's original ending, which has prompted the studio (20th Century Fox) to spend much of the week persuading Luhrmann to rewire a "more uplifting" ending. If you don’t want to know too much about the movie or how it may end (or not, depending on Luhrmann’s decision), you probably won’t want to click on the link below, as it contains a major spoiler.

Nothing like cutting it close! Can you imagine the stress of having an unfinished film with only nine days before the movie opens up in your home country? Hope things get settled. And while Fox is at it, their marketing people should work on making a better trailer for the movie because the ones I’ve seen are terrible and don’t tell me anything about the film.

Lauren Conrad needs to get over herself

I hate talking about any of the “celebrities” on The Hills, mostly because they make Paris Hilton look like an A-lister by comparison. But sometimes they pull off these stunts that just begs for us to poke fun at them. Like this weekend at JFK airport in New York, when Lauren Conrad was trying to get on standby and threw a fit when an airline staffer dared to call her name over the PA system. Another passenger told the New York Post: "LC pitched a fit, and was almost driven to tears because she thought people would start talking to her and bothering her. But no one even cared."

No surprise. Yes, she may be a “star” in certain circles, and she may be doing well financially because of her Hills fame, but LC or any of the other Hills people likely won’t ever reach the A-list.

Seth Rogen shaved back for Porno

Under the Too Much Information section, we have Seth Rogen who opened up to the media about shaving his back for his sex scene in Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Rogen says, "I shaved my back just in case. I went fully bare, like a two year old. I was ready. I didn't want to be too real for the world. I don't think the world is too ready for a hairy back in a love scene. Has there ever been a sex scene with Robin Williams? People don't want to see that. That would border on bestiality."

Eeeew. And for the record, Zack and Miri is by far the worst and only bad movie that Kevin Smith has ever made. I am the most ardent of Kevin Smith fans, and found his latest to be so far off the mark that you have to wonder if Smith was really himself when he wrote this. Mariah has probably had numerous surgeries to enhance her look, and has likely had at least one in the chestal region. But judging from a recent pic of her at the World Music Awards, it seems that she’s going to need at least one more. Saggadelic, baby!

Last Tuesday, many prayers were answered when Obama became the next president of the United States. It was and always will be remembered as one of the greatest days of people’s lives. But also on that night, many prayers were neglected and unanswered as a whole slew of people hoped that it would be the last we see of Sarah Palin. If you (like myself) were hoping to never have to see her in the spotlight again, I hate to tell you that she ain’t going away anytime soon. All of the big Hollywood and NYC talent agencies are seeking to represent her, and a book and possible talk show is in the works.

Repeat this mantra over and over and maybe it will help: Just tune her out, just tune her out, just tune her out…
