SATC Catfight: Carrie vs Samantha

As soon as Sex and the City opened to great box office numbers earlier this year, the studio was quick to work out details for an inevitable sequel. But there seems to be some confusion amongst the cast as to if and when the second film will happen. Kim Cattrall, who plays the oversexed Samantha, in an interview on Britain's The Paul O'Grady Show, confirmed they're shooting another big screen version of Sex and the City. "Yes, there will be a sequel," she told her interviewer, Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

Sarah Jessica Parker, however, was quick to shoot down the story, and, in a slightly backhanded way, buddy Cattrall as well. Carrie says: “I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done. With ‘the wind on our heels,’ we hope to make it a reality."

Could we be witness to a possible catfight between these two? I doubt it, but one can always hope. I’m sure the sequel will happen, but these things take time, and it seems that Kim Cattrall got a little carried away in this case. I wonder if Cattrall would be up for reprising her role in Howard Stern’s promised remake of Porky’s? How can we forget Kim in her first big screen (and orgasmic) performance?

Sex and the City sequel?

Britney and Madonna back together

Everyone is talking today about Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake joining Madonna onstage in Los Angeles yesterday for Madge’s Sticky and Sweet tour. The thing is, Justin and Britney did not appear together, as Ryan Seacrest had promised. I knew it wouldn’t happen, but many people were disappointed that the two joined Madonna separately. I’m just upset cause I’d love to see Brit and Justin back together, if only so we can call them Justney Spearserlake. For the record, there was a kiss shared between Maddie and Brit, but it was only on the hand. Awwww. Check out the video:

But where's the kiss we wanted?

Rihanna passes out on stage. Is she pregnant?

Last night at her concert in Australia, smokin’ hot singer Rihanna fainted on stage while singing with boyfriend Chris Brown. There are rumors that she is pregnant with Brown’s child (Brown is only 19), but I wouldn’t bet on it. Hope she’s OK.

I do like how the Socialite Life website considers this to be as good as a sonogram – funny stuff.

Obama the Movie: had to happen

Back in 2006, Edward Norton and his production company, Class 5 Films, approached the Obama campaign about a documentary to film Obama’s political past and future. Rights were granted and now HBO has signed a 7-figure deal with Norton to air the movie sometime next year. It will no doubt be a humongous ratings success. Obama is MONEY, baby.

Leo hands teen heartthrob crown to Zac Efron

From one former teen heartthrob to the next. Leonardo DiCaprio, who was the fave poster boy for teen girls everywhere, sees the same thing in Zac Efron, and would like to pass the proverbial torch to the High School Musical star. Says Leo: "I look at young Zac Efron and think ‘Go get it pal, leave me in peace.’ I was never happy with the teen idol tag at all - never wanted to be a sex symbol or all that stuff - it was the work that appealed to me. Really nothing else. (I have) total respect for how young stars like Zac handle it all. Really total respect.”

But Leo – there’s one big difference that you neglected to mention. You can ACT, and until we see proof otherwise, Zac can’t. We’ll see if Zefron can measure up as the years go by.

But Zacqueesha ain't no DiCaprio

Should Spielberg and Will Smith touch Oldboy?

I don’t know many people who have seen the 2003 Korean movie Oldboy, which is currently sitting at #117 on IMDB’s Top 250 films of all time list. If you haven’t seen it, and want something a little different to see this weekend, go rent it. Warning: if you don’t like subtitles, and especially if you don’t like to be emotionally wasted after watching a movie, you probably won’t want to see it. But if the warning doesn’t scare you, it’s worth your time.

Hollywood has been eyeing a remake of this film ever since it came out, and now it seems that Steven Spielberg and Will Smith may be looking at doing a remake. I’m not sure this is a film that should be touched by Hollywood. Have you seen it? If so, what is your take on a possible remake?

Can ScarJo’s breasts cure Parkinsons?

And finally, we have Scarlett Johannson’s breasts. How can we NOT end the week with them? ScarJo showed up at Michael J Fox’s 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's' event the other night, and brought out the twins, who had been hiding from the media for a while. They’re back, and they’re spectacular - though it’s still up in the air whether they can cure disease or not.

Great way to end the week
