Another name has been put forward to run for Central Okanagan school trustee.

Okanagan College professor and administrator Stan Chung submitted his nomination papers Monday to run for School Trustee in the Central Okanagan.

Chung has been an active writer, teacher, scholar, and administrator who received his Masters Degree in English in 1985 and his BC Teacher’s Certificate in 1989.

In 2002, Chung, who has two children in the Central Okanagan school system, was awarded Mentor of the Year in Science and Technology by Industry Canada.

“I care a great deal about outstanding learning experiences for our students and our teachers. But any change has to come with a thoughtful process of consultation with an emphasis of engaging a diversity of voices,” says Chung.

Chung is currently the associate dean of arts and foundational programs at Okanagan College.
