The District of Westside is getting assistance from the province to research a number of projects.
The $40,000 Infrastructure Planning Grant was announced Friday by Okanagan-Westside MLA, Rick Thorpe.
Westside will receive four $10,000 grants to research projects, including:
- $10,000 for a sewer servicing strategy update. The study will review the current sewer servicing strategy.
- $10,000 for a tangible capital asset review. The study will compile an inventory of all assets owned by the municipality and determine value, lifespan and replacement time line.
- $10,000 for a parks and recreation master plan. This study will address updating the parks and recreation master plan to develop and implement recreational facilities and services.
- $10,000 for evaluations of universal water metering and conservation rate structures.
