RCMP are looking for a lone suspect after the McDonalds Restaurant at Lakeshore and KLO was robbed at gunpoint.

Police say the suspect was able to gain entry to the rear of the restaurant shortly after it had closed, produced a silver handgun and demanded cash from the store safe.

"After the cash was surrendered, the male had the store employees lay on the ground while he fled out the back door. No one was hurt in the robbery," says Constable Craven.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his early 20's, about 5'7" and a slim build.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants, black shoes, gloves with a bandana over his face.

Craven says police have no suspects at the moment and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or recognize the man's description to contact Kelowna RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
