Kelowna RCMP have made what they say is one of the area's largest ever marijuana busts.
Police raided a property in the 8400 block of Highway 33, north of Beaverdell around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and found fifteen greenhouses being used in a marijuana operation.
Five people were arrested at the residence.
"The arrest did not go without incident," says Sergeant Terry Jacklin. "The dogs were used to apprehend two of the suspects who ran into the forest."
All five men are in custody at the Kelowna detachment.
The bust concludes a month-long joint investigation into a group producing marijuana on the site.
