Residents of the Westside District Municipality will begin paying the municipality for utility services beginning September 1.

Utility billing and payment is one of six services being transferred from the Regional District to the municipality in September.

Other services being transferred include:

• Parks and Recreation
  
• Planning and Development
  
• Building Inspection
  
• Bylaw Enforcement
  
• Business Licenses

Utility bill payments can be made online, at most financial institutions or in person at the Westside Municipal office.

Parks and recreation, planning, bylaw enforcement, business licenses and engineering will be run out of temporary portables at the Mt. Boucherie complex.

Meantime, residents living within regional district boundaries, from Joe Rich/Ellison to the North Westside region, will continue receiving services and paying bills through the regional district.
