It wasn’t just the family’s affair.

Late last week, Armstrong RCMP responded to a call of shots fired after a family argument got out of hand.

Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk, says officers responded to the call from the 2000 block of Deep Creek Road, Thursday.

“When officers attended, they located a suspect in a vehicle leaving the area. He was arrested without incident,” says Molendyk.

He says the investigation revealed that what started out as a family dispute between a father and son lead to the son discharging a .22 cal rifle.

“Nobody was injured during this ordeal, the 19-year-old son has been arrested and is facing charges of dangerous use of a firearm.”

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be laid.
