Getting a passport doesn’t have to be such a headache for South Okanagan residents next week.

On August 25 and 26, a Mobile Passport Unit will be set up in Penticton and Oliver.

The mobile office is designed to provide passport service to remote and border communities by minimizing delays caused by incomplete passport applications.

The mobile office will see people on a first come, first serve basis and will review passport applications, answer questions and accept completed applications.

The fees for passports are $87 for those ages 16 and up, $37 for those between three and 15 and for those under three, the cost is $22. The mobile office will only accept certified cheques, money orders or credit card payments.

On Monday, August 25, the office will be in Penticton at the Sandman Hotel on Burnaby Avenue from noon until 8 p.m.

It will be in Oliver on Tuesday, August 26 at the Oliver Community Centre on 79th Street from noon until 8 p.m.
