The location may be different from last year, but the wagging tails will be the same.
The annual Paws for a Cause will take place Sunday, September 14 at Kelowna’s City Park on Abbott Street.
Fund raising coordinator, Marni Adams, says in past years, the event had been held at the Mission Creek Greenway.
“Registration runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Our 3 km Dog Walk begins at 10:30 a.m. with our 1 km Furry Scurry following right on its tail at 11 a.m.,” says Adams.
She says following the walks, there will be many pet-friendly activities to take part in.
Adams says the events include a Doggie Play Place, which will have cake walks and a look-a-like contest, a dog agility demonstration and the Paws Parlour, where your dog can get a massage, free nail clipping and complimentary bows for their hair.
“The Merchant Mall will give you an opportunity to shop with many products and services on display from local vendors as well as the SPCA Store with many BCSPCA products for sale.”
Pledge forms are available at the Kelowna shelter on Casorso Road.
