The fire is 100% contained, but it will take a couple of days to be completely extinguished.

Nearly 50 fire personnel are working on a 35 hectare blaze which has been burning near Oliver since Saturday night.

Fire information officer, Dale Bojahra, says the fire is totally contained.

“Crews have been working really hard around the clock to get it controlled. We are now in the mop up stages, but that could take at least a couple of days,” says Bojahra.

He says two helicopters and an air tanker are being used to put the fire out.

Bojahra says although the cause has not yet been officially determined, it is believed to have been human-caused.
