A violent sexual assault is being investigated in the South Okanagan.
A 21-year-old woman from Maple Ridge was with friends at the Nite Moves night club on Penticton’s Main Street around 10 p.m. Saturday.
Corporal Rick Dellebuur says the next thing the woman remembers was being sexually assaulted behind Larson’s Brother’s Tire on Front Street around 2 a.m.
“In addition to being sexually assaulted, the female suffered bruising and scratches to her face and legs. It is believed that the suspect also was scratched by the victim. The female finally managed to get away and walked on Westminister Ave. where she met two unidentified females who walked with her until they met a male walking with a cell phone who called the police,” says Dellebuur.
He says RCMP would like to speak to the two unidentified women.
The suspect is described as 5'10" tall, with dark, short hair, dark eyes, Caucasian. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect may be associated to a newer, small black pickup truck.
