The 22 non-profit groups involved with the 2008 Funtastic, have raised more than $182,000.

Monies were raised through Armstrong, Enderby and Vernon Funtastic societies.

The cheque was presented recently.

Proceeds from the Funtastic sports society go towards building new fields and enhancing sports facilities in the North Okanagan.

This years total is enough to build one new field, plus assist numerous initiatives in the community.

Throughout the past 24 years, Funtastic has donated more than $840,000 to the community, has helped build 13 fields, five playgrounds and assisted numerous sporting initiatives in the community.
