Police says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the death of an Alberta man in the Okanagan last weekend.

A crash on Sexsmith Road in Kelowna on July 19 claimed the life of 30-year-old Donald Poggemiller, a resident of Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

Corporal Silva with the Central Okanagan Traffic Services says Poggemiller’s vehicle left the road after the driver lost control and the vehicle went over a 30-foot embankment.

Silva says Poggemiller was wearing a seat belt.

A second man was injured in the crash, but has been released from Kelowna General Hospital.
