The final design for Kelowna's Central Green development is ready for public viewing.

The open house, featuring development plans for the five-hectare former KSS site at Richter and Harvey, is planned for Wednesday, July 23 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts beginning at 7 p.m.

"The community has been there since the beginning and has kept with us as we moved through this process," says Project Manager, Rob Mayne.

"We have set our sights on creating a green development that also meets our goal for social sustainability, designing a family-oriented site that provides for affordable housing."

Community consultations began in March.

At the final presentation, Mayne says people will see results of the park plan integrated into the site and provide input into the proposed parcelling of the site, slated for public tender early next year.
