Plans for the Okanagan Greens Society's 3rd Annual Organic Okanagan Festival are underway.
The theme for the 2008 festival, to be held September 21, is Fall Equinox.
"We anticipate this will be the largest and finest Organic Okanagan Festival to date," says festival organizer, Wendy Wright.
The festival will take place at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. The marketplace will be located on the 2000 square foot, open-air, sunset veranda.
"The sustainability lecture series and Organic Okanagan Film Festival will be held in the pyramid," Wright says. "First Nations cultural experiences and a folk music area will surround the Mallam Heritage House, which has been on the property for 110 years."
Wright says the festival can accommodate more than 50 exhibitors, featuring hands-on activities, mini home energy audits, local cuisine demonstrations, an organic taste challenge and a children’s corner.
Vendor registration to the Organic Okanagan Festival closes Monday July 7.
Registration after Monday may considered but early bird rates will not apply.
